When Karen and her adoring niece Ashlee are caught in the middle of a robbery, Ashlee ends up in the hospital. Karen tells police that she recognized one of the men involved, a guy named Ray Martinez. When they are unable to break his alibi, Karen decides to deal with him herself. But when Ray pulls a gun on her, she's forced to kill him in self-defence. Now Karen finds herself locked in a desperate struggle for her life-and justice for her family.
